We bring together the unrivalled breadth and depth of climate expertise that exists at the University of Reading.

We aim to assess the impacts and consequences of climate change and to improve prediction of our changing climate over seasons, decades and beyond, across a range of applications.

Impacts and consequences

We assess the impacts and consequences of climate change across of a range of sectors and consider the implications for adaptation and mitigation.


Improving predictions of climate

We work to improve predictions of climate on a range of timescales; develop better climate models and explore weather and climate extremes.


Understanding climate

We aim to enhance understanding of the fundamental processes that govern the climate system and how it changes.
